Eley Brothers percussion cap tin from around 1869 to maybe 1882 with all of its brown gloss lacquer with a few scuffs and side label with some tears and losses. The side label advertises cartridges for Rook rifles and the earliest of these date from 1869. The tin still has its original thin paper liner. All it needs are the smaller #18 or #10 caps to fill it. In great shape and would look good in a cased percussion revolver/pistol set like a Colt, Remington or British model.
