Description
From the sellerCivil War Brass Belt Buckle, lead lined back with leather belt and brass end piece. Belt was inspected and stamped A.D. Laidley U.S. Ord Dept. Sub. Inspector. When I searched that info it says he was the man who was inspecting items for the Army during the Civil War. Buckle has not be cleaned or polished. Has original patina. Belt is a very dark brown or possibly faded black.
