This Yamaha has a great sound. Orchestral and clean. The valves are operating properly. The water keys are operating properly and the pads look pretty good. The big thing here is the lead pipe needs to be soldered. But… When the lead pipe is in the proper place, you will see that the rest of the pipe as it heads down toward the third valve slide is bent outward. So it needs to be bent back a little bit and soldered to the brace. I think this is pretty easy for a brass technician. Despite this, like I say, the horn plays really well.
