The other unique feature is the 24 3/4" scale length, which is what is found on Gibson guitars rather than Fenders, which have a longer 25 1/2" scale. On these guitars, the Greco logo has a funny circle and bump over the letter "R" which make it look more like an "N," hence the "Gneco" assignation.
