Small central "Baroque" design for ring loop seen an most awards 1916 and after per decree from Kaiser Wilhelm II on November 16, 1916 along with darker blue than previous versions.This design is seen on a majority of awardees from 1916 to 1960, when the last recipient retired from the Bundeswehr.
