Original Vintage Model 1878 Spanish American War Issued Canteen With Name

This is a great example of an issued and carried original Model 1878 Spanish American War Canteen with the name F. M. Norman imprinted on the back. Is in average to good condition. The spout rim is damaged and the side strap triangle hooks are rusty. No strap on canteen. Also some staining on cloth cover. See pics. Did some research on the spanamwar.com, Spanish American War Centennial Website and found out the following. Private Frank M. Norman is on the roster of the 7th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company M, which is part of the First Brigade, First Division of the Second Army Corps.
