ORIGINAL 1903 SPRINGFIELD ROD BAYONET SAFETY 1905 TYPE 1D USGI PRE-WW1

Hello 1903 Springfield enthusiasts and military rifle collectors! Holy Mackerel! This is a nice condition safety flag from a Springfield rifle produced prior to 1905! Readily ID'ed as one of the rod bayo types by the lack of groove around the back bolster, and easily spotted as the 4th variation by the spring loaded plunger that is common to all the later types (1A - 1C did not have the plunger) Spring is still springin', there is just a tiny bit of galling on the plunger from when Mugilla removed it.
