This came from a very old estate with other different pins dating as far back as 1929. I am stumped on this one because judging from the size I don’t think it is the award but rather the additional item that recipients were entitled to order. Please look at all pictures. The Order of the Golden Kite was a prestigious military award in Japan, awarded for bravery and leadership in battle. It had seven grades, with the 5th Class being one of the lower ranks. Recipients of this order often received additional items, such as tie clips or pins, which were exclusive to them. Ship USA only . No returns.
