This is 1 of the original 5000 M9 test bayonets for the Marine Corps made by Buck (not LanCay or Phrobis). The date code is “+”. Sharpening stone and original hanger mount are intact (many of them are not). Small divot on false edge is prevent indicating wire cutting ability was tested (almost all of them have this). Unusual sharpie mark/symbol on the back - could be a personal marking. Looks similar to heavy weapons symbol. Blade appears factory sharpened with very good condition overall. Acquired in North Carolina mid 90’s.
