This one piece is executed in the traditional Mogu (boneless) or fine-line Gongbi style, depicting a classic "Meinu" (Chinese court beauty) playing a panpipe (paixiao) in a garden setting. The other piece is described as: The piece is painted in the Mequi (Beautiful Women / Meiren) genre, executing a classic Gongbi (fine-brush) style. It depicts a scholarly woman leaning on a Guqin zither next to blooming autumn chrysanthemums.
