Vintage Pair of Chinese Carved Wood Calligraphy Wall Panels - 48” Tall

Matching pair of tall, narrow Chinese decorative wall plaques. Each panel measures 3” wide by 48” tall. They are made of dark carved wood with white painted calligraphy. The full couplet reads: “雲淡烟花 松柏森森” which translates to “Light clouds and misty blossoms, pines and cypresses lush and dense.” Each piece has a brass hanging ring at the top so they can be easily hung side-by-side on the wall. Classic mid-20th century chinoiserie décor. These look great flanking a doorway, mirror, or large painting. Condition: Good vintage condition. The white paint shows normal wear, especially inside the carved grooves, but the wood and carvings remain solid.
