Chinese Lacquer Games Box Gaming Tokens Lidded Boxes And Trays READ

Here is an 18th century gaming box. The outer box is in poor condition with wood exposed and lacquer missing. No dragon paw feet. There are eight lidded boxes. One of the trays is broken. 12 painted and gilt trays. 120 game tokens in the shapes shown : fish, rounds, squares with notches and rectangles. All the mother of pearl game pieces, carved with great detail. Some of the game pieces are broken. See pic and zoom in the section on the right to see broken ones. There is a monogram JMC on exterior box. Again, the box is in poor shape. Also included is a newspaper piece around the time or perhaps later. Selling as found.
