A SUPERB MUSEUM QUALITY AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A MAGNIFICENT HORSE WITH A STUNNING SADDLE AND BRIDLE - RARE AND WONDERFUL!!! DATING TO C1870-1910. PART OF A WONDERFUL COLLECTION! This is a superb museum quality Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze). It dates to c1890. It depicts a beautifully modeled horse with a gorgeous bridle and saddle. It is possible that this is also a Chinese or Japanese Bronze. The quality of the workmanship is the finest. It has extraordinary details in the mane, harness and overall movement of the bronze. It is stunning. Please see our other auctions for more early Vienna Bronzes from this collection. The horse itself is 3 1/4 inches (8 cm) long and 2 3/5 inches (6 cm) tall. The base is 12 cm by 6 cm. The bronze is in excellent condition.
