From the seller
Chiseld-engraved around rim is: "J. ROBERTSON. 78th HIGHdrs.". Due to the number of sick and wounded, an evacuation did not take place, and the defense of the city was expanded. The relievers were besieged for 6 weeks before being relieved in November 1857.
