From the sellerEmperor Go-Daigo Escaping a Burning Castle, 1880 - Dramatic scene from the life of the Emperor Go-Daigo, whose plans to overthrow the Kamakura Shogunate were betrayed. He sought refuge in the monastery at Kasagi, high atop the mountains, but the Shogun's army attacked the castle and set it on fire.
