WW2 era mess kit with handle replaced by JQMD in 1948. Jefferson Quarter Master Depot. Original maker of the mess kit is unknown since its name was on the original handle which was removed for replacement. JQMD was sent salvaged repairable items from WW2 to be issued to troops in the future. The picture of a JQMD employee repairing mess kits is for reference only, and is not included in the auction.
