Description
From the sellerBeautiful wooden marquetry of a male scholar in a fancy chair surrounded by books. The light coming through the window behind him gives it a calming effect. No chips; no loose or missing pieces noted. Would look great in a library or a special quiet place. Measures approx. 16 3/8" x 8 3/4" x 5/8" William Carl Bader (1902-1984) was born in Germany and arrived in NYC in 1924. He was a member of the Southern Highlands Guild. His work is displayed in museums and is a favorite of collectors of Appalachian handicrafts. Will refund any significant overage in shipping charge.
