The selected item is a vintage Wedgwood Sage Green Jasperware trinket box featuring a white matte finish. This iconic matte stoneware pottery was originally developed by Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. The body of the box is embellished with neoclassical bas-relief depictions of cherubs and muses.Identifying FeaturesMaterial: Unglazed, matte-finish stoneware known as Jasperware. Color: Classic sage green, often referred to by collectors as "Wedgwood Green". Relief Work: Crisp white slip-molded cameo details applied by hand to the surface. Origin: stamped with "Wedgwood Made in England" on the bottom underside.
