From the sellerIt fits all slant needle Singers, though the later models have this ability built in. One staple is rusted and one is clean, and both are holding everything securely together. In addition to making various buttonholes, the cover plate can be used by itself to "disable" the feed dogs and allow you to do free motion work without another cover.
