My dad served a couple years as a reserve police officer in Southern California in the early- to mid-1970s. This was his actual holster. The holster is embossed "SAFETY SPEED HOLSTER, MONTEBELLO, CAL.," "MEDIUM FRAME 4," and "PAT. PEND. AT. NO. 364218.” It shows honest wear consistent with age and duty use: surface scuffing, some finish loss, and light oxidation/staining around the snaps.
