Vintage Wounaan, Embera tribe large hand made basket, Panama

Hand woven Ember, Wounaan tribal basket. Very large 8 1/2 inches tall and 33 inches in circumference . Parrot design. Inside and out the ones on the outside are a little faded. Very tightly woven, it is said they can hold water, but I have never tried. It is one of a kind and at this size is hard to find. I have had the basket for over 20 years and the person I bought it from had it a long time to she actually bought it from Panama. It is in great condition. Just a few loose fibers due to age.
