Vintage Toastmaster Waters-Genter 1A4 Chrome Single Slice Toaster Art Deco

This toaster was purchased from my neighbor’s estate sale. I just thought it would be cool sitting in my kitchen. Then I realized I don’t really have room for this cute thing! I plugged it in to make sure it works, but immediately sort of got scared because there was some smoke from the inside. So I unplugged it. So I have not really investigated how well it works! Possible old residue on the heating coil caused smoking? Not so sure! Perhaps this is the best used “for parts,” not sure! There’s a little scratch on one side and near the toaster slot there’s a little discoloration. This model is cool because there’s a decorative handle one side plus the slide on the other side so it looks extra art deco!
