I am not a train collector, however I believe this piece is a pressed steel toy, train car made by Louis Marx & Co sometime between the 1930s and 1950s. The diameter between the wheels is approximately 3/4 of an inch, consistent with O scale The length of the car from the tip of the connectors on each end is about 4.5 inches. The car is about 1 inch tall. The bottom is stamped “made in” (no country is listed), however, I believe a stamp in this location is consistent with a Marx car.
