This vintage Sheridan silver plate, oval buffet server, likely from the mid 20th century, showcases intricate scroll work on its rim, typically of the era’s decorative silver-plated items. The inclusion of a Pyrex insert points to its functionality as a serving piece designed for hot dishes, a common feature for entertaining. The markings on the glass plate insert states it’s a trademark Pyrex made in the USA for oven Use only. The inside dimensions of the glass insert is 16“ x 9 1/2“ one and a half inch deep.
