The back is marked "MANUFACTURED BY SEARS ROEBUCK & CO" (see pics). This is 100% aluminum. I have taken a magnet to it, and can't find any steel anywhere - not the flag, the latch, etc. The door opens and closes nicely, the flag works smoothly.
