This antique S. Sternau & Co. tilting brass spirit kettle (nickel lined) is a beautiful piece of late-Victorian or Edwardian tableware. These kettles were mounted on a stand over a small spirit (alcohol) burner to keep water hot at the table and feature a specialized pivot design for easy pouring without lifting.
