From the sellerThis is a vintage topographical postcard featuring the Observatory of the Illinois Watch Company in Springfield, Illinois. The view is described as being taken from the wireless station on the roof of the factory. The observatory was used for precise timekeeping, essential for the manufacture of celebrated watches like the BUNN SPECIAL, SANGAMO SPECIAL, and A. LINCOLN Railroad Watches.
