From the seller("E Pluribus Unum" ), a patriotic shield across its chest, an olive branch of peace in one claw, and 13 war arrows in the other. Originally designed by pattern maker Mary Card in 1918 as part of a special series honoring the Allied nations of the Great War (WWI).
