Vintage Norwegian Rosemaling Plate Per Lysne Student Solhaug St Paul Rosemaled

This is an absolutely exquisite vintage Rosemaling Plate by Eleanor Erickson of St. Paul, MN. She painted under the signature "Solhaug" and all of her work is signed "Solhaug". It is said Solhaug was the name of her house (studio). "Solhaug" pieces are highly regarded and coveted by collectors of 20th Century American Rosemaling. This is an extremely fine example of her work and is a treasure of Norwegian American Rosemaling. Ericson was a student of Per Lysne who is highly regarded and responsible for bring the Norwegian Rosemaling craft to the United States.
