From the sellerThis item is a vintage Leeds & Northrup Test Set No. 5430-A, designed for precise electrical resistance measurements and cable fault location The apparatus is housed in a quarter-sawn oak case and includes an integrated galvanometer for reading measurements It operates as a Wheatstone Bridge and was commonly used for testing telephone and electrical lines, with operating instructions printed on the inside of the lid This model, along with the similar Type S (5300) series, was frequently used in the mid-20th century, particularly around the 1950s
