Country store glass. Barrel with lid and handle. What makes this jar truly unique is the attached label—Brandle & Smith High Grade Confections Philadelphia Satin Finish. Label on the back says Hudson Mixture 16 lbs net weight. The Brandle & Smith Co was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1895-a prominent company which manufactured confectionery satin finished hard candies. This is an awesome piece.
