Description
From the seller…… This auction is for a vintage Japanese Tin Litho, Crank Friction Car Toy called the “Bump ‘n Go Hot Rod.” Measuring 3 ½” tall by 6 ¼” long by 3” wide, it features a red and yellow litho design, with flame decorations, and reads “Bump ‘n Go Hot Rod” on the trunk. The back of the Car is marked “Made in KO Japan.” KO Japan refers to vintage tin, battery-operated, and friction toys manufactured by Yoshiya (also known as Kobe Yoko Ltd.), a prominent Japanese toy maker that operated from the 1950s through the 1970s. … The toy is powered by a crank-operated friction mechanism on the underside that you would spin as fast as you can and then place the car down, It then goes in different directions. as the driver steers. When we cranked this toy, it worked! … Overall, this vintage Japanese KO Hot Rod Car Toy is in very good, unrestored condition.
