Vintage Japanese Cotton Indigo Shibori Cloth

This is a vintage indigo cotton shibori cloth. I've had it for several years and it was vintage when I purchased it when living in Japan. I've never used it. It is in excellent vintage condition with a few areas of yellowing. I tried to show that in some close ups of the white areas. They are not glaring. I have not laundered this pieces and if you do, use salt as a way to keep colors from running. My guess is that this is a furoshiki, or a wrapping cloth. The idigo is a lovely blue. Indigos come in many shades and this is a favorite. If I was using it, I might add some sashiko stitching to the white areas in an indigo thread, maybe some auspicious symbols. It measures 47.5" x 28.5".
