Vintage Cornet Trumpet Solo Tune With Case And Old Music

I am going to describe this as best as I can since I know nothing about this cornet or trumpet or whatever it is called. It is old, the bottom of the horn is marked it is engraved with a design and it says RMC solo tone and has a shield type symbol the serial numbers are in the pics. It does have some green oxidation on it I was gonna clean it off but thought better of it since I don’t know what I am doing. The buttons all work fine. It also has a brass looking music holder and several music books from the 60’s. The case is a bit rough but still holding its own, meaning it still functions.
