Vintage Collins 14" Roofing Hatchet & Original Hickory Handle with Label

The cutting edge is slightly sharp. The hammer head has little wear. The Made in America Label is torn but the Collins Genuine Hickory label on the handle is worn but legible. It is 14 1/4 inches long from top of the head above the eye to the bottom of the hickory handle. From the hammer head face to the axe cutting edge it is 6 1/2 inches long. The bit from heal to toe is 3 5/8 inches across. The eye top shows the original wedge in the handle top and appears to be an all original tool. We did not find any splitting or checks in the handle. Please study photos as they are part of the item description. it is sold as found and will likely need cleaning. The item weighs 2 pounds prior to adding packing materials and a box for shipping.
