Description
From the sellerVintage Chouinard Frost Ice axe Piolet. Laminated bamboo shaft 75cm in length. These were the gold standard for ice tools in the 1970s. You can find prettier axes but not ones with the experience of this one. It can tell you stories of climbing the Shelia Face of Aorangi in New Zealand, Mts Asgard and Loki on Baffin Island, Mt Blanc in France, Mt Rainier and countless others. Chouinard and Frost did not intend these tools to sit unused. A good companion with lots of life left.
