VINTAGE c. 1940 FLEISHER’S KNIT-A-TIE NECKTIE KNITTING KIT WITH WOOL & PATTERN

A delightful vintage necktie knitting kit. Dates to the late 1930s to 1940s era; fresh from an splendid local estate collection. Unused & still in its original box, it features everything needed to create a stylish knit tie- except for knitting needles and scissors, that is. The kit contains wool & rayon yarn, along with printed instructions. The box it comes in is perfectly sized to use as a gift box for the finished tie. The kit is in good condition for its age, with the only flaw being a missing bit to the cellophane wrapper at one end of the box. No size is listed for the finished tie, but I'm guessing it would be the 3 1/2" to 4" width popular around 1940, and a slightly shorter length than most ties nowadays, to complement the era's high-waisted trousers.
