Vintage Bird’s Eye Maple Concertone Ukulele Banjo Banjolele Ready To Play

This is old Slingerland Concertone brand Bird’s Eye maple banjouke or banjolele , made in the 1920s. Bird’s Eye Maple is a great choice of tone wood for a banjouke. This one’s in great shape too - ready to play. This is probably a century old instrument. It’s got what looks like a Rosewood fretboard. The new Grover geared tuners work great; really hold the tuning well. It’s got a nice old tailpiece, a Grover 1/2” bridge and new D’Addario Nyltech strings. It plays loud & snappy with those Nyltech nylon strings. The old calfskin head is in great condition. The heel had a crack in. I ran a brass screw into it to permanently secure it.
