From the sellerVintage Bank Book Wallet. Features.......Helmer & Gortner State Bank in Mechanicsville, IA. It originated as a private bank by Helmer and Gortner in 1874. It incorporated into a State Bank in 1902. It collapsed in 1931 as a result of cash withdrawals due to the 1929 Stock Market Crash. Great history and collectible!
