Beautifully mounted Silk Fan and “Golden” Lotus shoes at 4.3” silk and fabric with embroidery. Lotus shoes identified as early 20th century. Fan is vintage or antique and hand painted. Shadowbox mounted in gold frame that is sturdy. Please see pictures for appreciation. Beautiful Asian Art. Overall measurement at roughly 17” x 27”. Foot binding was banned in 1912 with the fall of the Qing Dynasty however it still took place in more remote areas. In 1949 the law was strictly enforced.
