1957 to 1962 is considered the best era for Fender Strats. Warm lows with a bit of punch. SRV, Clapton, and many other greats got their sound from this style of pickup. The neck and bridge arenorth up polarity while the middle issouth up polarity and reverse wound to reduce the noise when in the 2 and 4 between pickup positions.
