From the sellerThis is a 1940s kitchen gadgets used to store and measure ground coffee for a percolator. The jar stores coffee grinds, the red dial on lid is used to measure desired amount of coffee grinds which flow out of the top of the lid when the red cap is removed. The jar is made by Hazel Atlas and clearly marked on the base - H,A, 6539,1 F in raised letters. The plastic top is marked - Cofi-Metr, Made in U.S.A. The jar with lid measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches across the base. The jar and lid are in good condition with no chips or repairs.
