​Vintage 1909 Elgin 18s Pocket Watch With Rare Engraved Steam Locomotive on Back

This is a nice but unfortunately not currently running Elgin Pocket Watch. There's good and there's bad. First the bad. Well it's not running. It's missing the hour hand. Now the good. The staff pivots on the balance wheel are not broken and the balance wheel moves freely. As a matter of fact, if I nudge the balance wheel with a toothpick I can get 5 or 10 ticks out of it until it stops again. The crystal is fine though I think it must have been replaced sometime because it appears to be plastic and I'm pretty sure it was glass when new. I Think the best part is that engraved steam locomotive on the back. It's faint from wear but still there. These early size 18s pocket watches were real beasts. This one weighs nearly 5 1/2 oz.
