Description
From the sellerThe Coleman 252A is a highly collectable single-mantle Mil-Spec (Military Specification) gasoline lantern produced for the U.S. Armed Forces. Initially introduced by Coleman in 1952, it is an evolution of the WWII-era Model 252. The 252A specifically added a spare parts well directly inside the fuel fount to hold extra mantles and tools for soldiers in the field. This lantern still has spare parts in the well, wrapped in wax paper, but I have not verified what's included. Also included is the optional Coleman Accessory Safe, which clamps to the base for storage of additional mantels and tools. This lantern was built in 1965, during the Vietnam War. it has obviously been used, but is in excellent shape. Function has not been tested.
