Beautiful antique German mercury glass Christmas ornament in the shape of a parasol. Circa 1920. It is a lovely iridescent silver with red accents and wrapped with its original Victorian tinsel wire. The wire extends up the delicate, slender neck to make a tinsel loop at its end. Beautiful elegant patina. While slight paint flakes off on a part of the parasol, overall no cracks or chips. A tiny glass ball where the glass blower finished is at the end of the parasol. The ornament is 11 inches (28 cm) tall and 1 1/2 inches wide. Please review the photos for condition and feel free to ask questions. There was most likely a fourth hanging bird.
