From the sellerThe VG-F 1824/4 Capped Bust Silver Half Dollar with a letter "W" scratched on the back is a unique coin featuring a business strike type and composed of silver. Minted in Philadelphia in 1824, this circulated coin belongs to the Capped Bust Half Dollar series. The obverse of the coin has die cracks on all the stars from point to rim making this 1824/4 O-109 variety a rarity and adds appeal for collectors interested in early US coins.
