From the sellerVincent Astor, son of John Jacob Astor This looks like a photo postcard showing the deck of the U-117 he captured during his WWI service. He is likely writing in December 1927 during his trip to Kiel, Germany, where he was to pick up a yacht. Cool, historic piece written and signed by VA himself.
