From the sellerTHE BLACKSMITH WHO CREATED THIS ONE OF A KIND GRAPPLE WAS TRULY A MASTER OF HIS CRAFT. THE ORIGIN ( PROVENANCE) OF THE GRAPPLE IS THE FOIX REGION OF SOUTHERN FRANCE WHERE IT WAS USED AT A WELL TO RETRIEVE THE ROPE THAT OCCASIONALLY FELL OFF THE WATER BUCKET.
