Two carved mourning pins with gold colored bottoms. There is string wrapped on part of each pin. One does not close properly. The more heavily carved of the two (the rippled one) is chipped on one end. I don't know what the materials are. Based on appearance these seem to be quite old-maybe Victorian era?
