This is a vintage frequency meter for the HF band that essentially measures relative field strength with a tuned circuit. My Dad used it for his ham radio as did I. It works fine other than occasionally the meter sticks. Note that it comes with a necessary plug in coil; some units I see advertised don't have this coil.
